I’m a Southern California photographer, rescue dog mom, gardener/plant lady, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur. When I’m not taking photos, you can find me in the kitchen experimenting with the newest gluten free recipe, enjoying nature walks with my husband and 11 year old rescue pup, or knee deep in a historical fiction novel.
A few years ago, photography was still just a side hobby, while I worked my day job as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. I spent my days on the floor working helping children learn how to communicate, teaching them that their words, their messages, carry meaning and have the power to impact their own experiences as well as the world around them. I will never forget the precious lessons I learned during those days, chief among them : that your story matters, is beautiful, and worth sharing.
Though my medium is different now, instead of play doh or bubbles, I carry a camera; and instead of working inside of a clinic, I now trek all over the nature trails, parks, and beaches of Orange County, my mission and beliefs are the same: I believe in the beauty of your unique story and the connections found between you and your dearest ones, and that they deserve to be documented and shared.
These days, you’ll often find me on the floor with a treat in one hand and a camera in the other, bribing my soon to be 11 year old rescue pup Russell to take just “one more photo”. I firmly believe that animals aren’t just a part of your family, they are family, and as such, their stories should be told too.
